The rental period begins upon receipt of the equipment and clients are given 3 business days to return rentals. Shipping charges are the client’s responsibility.

Our rates are very reasonable and competitive. Additionally we offer a 50% rental fee credit toward purchase, since many clients opt to “try before they buy”
Before your satellite phone is shipped to you, it goes through our rigorous quality control department to make sure your phone is in good working order. Our busiest time of the year is from May to October, so to guarantee a phone, we strongly recommend you book in advance.

Step 2: Explorer Satellite will send you tracking information to confirm your phone is on its way.
Step 3: Once you return from your trip, use the packaging to send your device back to us.
Never Used a Satellite Phone before? Here are some useful tips:
For best results using your satellite phone, we recommend you are:
- Outdoors with an 80% view of the sky
- Away from tall structures and trees
- Making sure the correct antenna is deployed and vertical
- Allowing the phone to properly register
- Avoid other antennas and radar devices commonly found on cruise ships
- Wait until you receive consistent signal strength
